**Why a Believer and not a unbeliever?
An unbeliever is not going to follow the laws of God
a) Not a sin sniffer / Don’t look for people’s sin
But help someone who is overcome by sin
b) Correct gently and humbly
Abrasive correction isn’t very effective (People get offended and shut down)
How do you like to be corrected? Most of us would say, that we want someone to come in love and have a gentle approach

You may not want to put yourself in a situation where your tempted to commit the same sin your telling

a) Obeying the law of Christ, is loving your neighbor
b) Help the struggling Christian
Romans 15:1 “We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves.”
1 Thessalonians 5:14 “Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.”

a) Our duty to be a blessing to others
b) Don’t be fooled into thinking too highly of yourself
Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.”
Romans 12:3 “Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.”
